The Basis basically functions like a watch. It is just that technology has made everything simpler. there is a sensor build in the watch that it can capture your heart rate patterns in day or night, during exercise or rest. Other that that, it also can calculate out activity level in steps and sleep we take, record the changers in sweat level and skin temperature level.
the interesting part is you can keep track on your daily performance as your record can be uploaded via USB connection to your online Basis dashboard where sleep and activity metrics are kept and patterns can be detected. Give it a week or so to measure your existing habits and go for the goals it can set for you based on level of activity you target.
