So, for this post, I want to share about this new health information I got yesterday.
Do you know that there is a device out there that could detect the breast cancer?
I'm not talking about mammogram though,because this device is way better than a mammogram.
It is a bra that could actually could sense the changes of your breast and detect the very first signs of breast cancer.
The technology may actually be able to detect tissue changes that can occur years before a tumor forms and this miraculous bra may be useful as an office cancer screening tool of maybe even as an over the counter testing device.

However, the price would be costly. People might think that 1000 dollars for a bra is not worth it but are you really sure that your breast is healthy?.
Anyway, I'm not deny the existence of mammogram which is free, but for some people, they just too shy to come forward and feel uncomfortable to let some stranger medical officer seeing they undress and looking at they their breast in order to get check. Thus, this device is an alternative for you and if you afford to buy it, why not ?
For man out there, don't take this post as gender bias or something. It is an information that you should know and very useful later for your woman in future.
Facts: In 2011, there were 230,489 new breast cancer cases and 39,520 deaths attributed to the disease, according to the American Cancer Society.

Such a useful post mia! Do you guys know male also can get breast cancer?read it online. If there are female relatives or siblings got breast cancer, there is high possibility that male relatives or brothers may get breast cancer! so scaryyyyy

ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I'd also like to add that though mammograms are free and the government has a subsidy for this but the waiting list is too long especially in government hospitals.
ReplyDeleteThe case is by the time they do a mammogram it'll probably be to late. Plus mammograms aren't free in non-government hospitals they're quite expensive.
I don't mind paying hard cash for this; health is definitely wealth.

rare and useful things are always expensive. it depends on how it works. and for this, it will surely worth the money you spent insyaAllah

Mia, what a great post! Yep I must say that I totally agree with you that some women are too shy to go for checkups.. well this bra is pricey as it's worth the technology i guess and how it could actually help us detect tumors.
