Spin the world and learn!

Hello Mate! *Australian Accent* ;p

This week I’m gonna post something like happening everyday in our life as student but we don't generally name it. Guess what??

DISTANCE LEARNING!!

Have heard of it before?

What comes first in your mind?

                        Study abroad?

                        Teacher Student affair? :O

Enough is enough.. Distance learning is …

                                                              THIS!

Generally, distance learning is where students can learn on their own whether from home or coffee shop and connected with institution and classmates through email, e-learning, chat rooms, instant messaging, Facebook and other forms of digital-based communication.

In our university, IIUM established e-learning to teachers and students so that they are still connected to each other although the class is over. This kind of technology lifted a lot of burden either to the educators or learners.

This is what we called distance learning! :D no matter how far you are from each other, you guys still can exchange resources over continents. I love this sentence from some websites, “With distance learning, teachers can bring the world into the classroom and send their students out into the world.”
Have a nice day! J

  2. Distance learning is becoming popular nowadays. The technology in education in today's world has lessen our burden :) Facebook's groups, blogs, LMS make our interaction with instructors and classmates become more efficient, be it place, time, or energy. It's easier for us to send assignments as well, no printing, no binding, and yep save money :p there's no need to rush to the green photocopy shop lol .But deep down in my heart, I still find that the traditional teaching process is still my number one..the face to face interaction..but yeah maybe i'm just....traditional haha. But, yes technology is crucial as a mean of communication after a class ended :)

  3. For me, I still prefer to the old school learning because it is face to face communication between the teachers and the students. Even though distance learning is good, but sometimes it is a burden when you have to deal with internet connection problems, like we are facing here.
