Apple vs Android

greetings, classmates!
today I feel like expressing my opinion on the ongoing debate of Apple vs Android.
as all of us are very much aware, there are tons of pros and cons that could be listed out regarding both of these communication devices. but the main aspect that I look at when contemplating between the Apple or Android is the application accessibility. Apple users are required to pay for each and every one of their apps while Android users can get most of theirs for free. and who doesn't love free stuff right? living in Malaysia where a phone costs you an arm and leg WITHOUT the data plan, having to pay for apps is considered to be very ridiculous. and that is why the Android wins in this category. wh-hoo!

the next thing that someone who is looking to buy a phone will look at is definitely the design of the phone itself. Android phones comes in many shapes and sizes whereas the Apple iPhone has only one design with different thickness depending on the model and also, it comes only in black and white. and guess what? the white one costs more than the black one. racist much? that, hands down, made the Android score another point without a doubt in morality.

at this point, you guys are definitely seeing where this one-sided debate is going don't you? mmhmm.

I'm not saying that I hate the Apple altogether, but economy-wise, the Android is a cheaper alternative to looking cool and keeping up-to-date with the latest gadgets in store. plus, you can exchange files with friends via bluetooth using the Android which the Apple iPhone can't for reasons unfathomable to me.

before I start lashing out on how the iPhone is forever updating their iOS and keep coming up with new versions of the same phone which actually look the same but only costs more, and how all these Apple worshipers are super obsessed with Apple products, let me just clarify that I like Android better than Apple for numerous and obvious reasons stated.

what do you guys think?
yay or nay?

  1. For me..I would go with the android because it is much cheaper than the Apple but it also has so many cool applications same as the apple product or it could be better than Apple.

  2. Huda, its a Yay!

I heard a lot from my friends that use iPhone that there's nothing REALLY special about iPhone..and yep most of the apps need to be bought..or else they need to do that thing called 'jailbreak' but as the name suggests there must be risks of doing so. the thing is people who use apple products will be seen as 'prestigious' and the exclusivity is there but oh well.. as students i think its better to spend on something cheaper but yet we can still manage to keep up to date with the tech..unless we're from a wealthy family then yes buy as we wish :)

well im not a massive android shipper as im still using my beloved nokia lol, but yes i speak from my observations and from the opinions that I heard from family members and friends that use iphone and android..and yep huda, about the iOS thingy, I agree! apple always update its iOS as they fear that others will get far ahead of them, especially with the massive growth of android users nowadays ;)

    1. yeap, those who use the iPhone always go on about how their phones are "exclusive". but that's the only verb they can use to describe it. aha.

      high five!

I'm really not into apple because it cost me the whole world to own one ;) and also, money consuming apps :s

    just to add more
both apple and android use up all battery power in a blink of an eye. smartphone is getting on my nerves. urghhh...
I should own a power bank soon.

      totally agree on battery consumption!
I miss the good old days when I only need to charge my phone battery once a week.

  6. hudaa! thanks for the great post as before this i'm more into apple (well, obviously because of the "exclusive") but seeing this might change my view then. hehe

but surely both have pros and cons isn't it? based on the design and stuffs I do think that android did a way better study compared to the apple team. I would prefer to buy android since it is more attractive isn't it? so, yay for android! :D

  7. I know Android is cheaper yet I can't help but have this hankering to give Apple a go; I mean I got to admit the design and apps is pretty tempting, either that or maybe I'm just superficial, Lol.
