Assalamualaikum and good day to all :)

So, this is my 3rd post on this blog and I'd love to tell you guys about Gmail Offline, a web app by Google. After several trials, it was launched on August 2011. So here's the thing. I want to share with you my experience.

There was this one time where IIUM Community connection was........depressing. I mean yes it happens everytime but at that time, I could not connect to IIUM Community network, at all, and could only connect to IIUM Guest. I was really in need to check my email and download the attachments, and that was when I realised I should be using the Gmail Offline app that I've downloaded for a while, but have never been using it. I thought that I would not be able to download the attachments, but Alhamdulillah, I managed to download them.

If your're interested to 'own' one, you may just go to Chrome Web Store, and yes, it is only available for Google Chrome. (yes everybody knows this, but I just HAVE to, lol), search for Gmail Offline, download and then install it. Once you have installed the app, it will appear on your chrome just like below:

You can access it whenever you're offline. You can check your e-mails, do some editing (star, move to folders, or delete), and reply. Once your computer is connected to the internet, the email will be sent. From my experience here in IIUM, even if you're connected to IIUM Guest, the email can still be sent, where the receiver received it promptly after I sent the e-mail and guys, the interface is comforting (for my eyes, at least :p).

Here's Gmail Offline interface:

The icon at the top left corner will enable you to do some adjustments according to your needs.

Sometimes we are having bad days where internet is not connected and we still need to access the mailbox, so here's one of the ways to get accessed to our emails :)

And people, I'm sorry for the images above, you know they seemed like out of proportion or something but I have tried to make them both to be at 'left' side and they are extra large. If I make them into large size, it is too unclear for us to see.

Thank you for the good info. never knew about this before. although we don't have the internet access, still we can get the email. Therefore, surely I will try to apply it.
